According to a user who goes by the handle Swak, there are currently some limitations on how the chatbot operates for free users: they can send only ten queries every two hours with the advanced Grok-2 model, and face even tighter restrictions with the mini model. Image analysis queries are also capped to three questions per day. This cautious approach reflects a need for xAI to gather user feedback while managing demand on its resources.

The launch of Grok-2 in August already set the stage for more interactive user experiences. With image generation capabilities powered by Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.1 model, Grok has shown significant potential to not only engage users through text but also improve communication through visual content. The capability for the model to interpret images was added just last month, further enhancing its versatility.
